Default Aspect Ratio for Printing

My shapes look fine on the screen but are too wide when printing. What
is the simplest way to tackle this problem? (Other Info: Excel 2002.
I happen to be printing in landscape orientation. Seems to make no
difference whether I shrink to fit, print full-size or whatever.) TIA,
James
