Default Trying again : run-time 18 without apparent cause

I have a fairly large AddIn ~2MB that is currently deployed to about 200
users. All user are using Windows 2000 / Excel 2000. The maschines are a
standard configuration initially but the users are allowed to install
additional software. I have a subset of users (3-5) that will consistantly
get a Runtime error 18 - User interrupt occured when executing any functions
the Addin provides. following a suggestion to a previous post on this issue
I have verified that this is not caused by the user. Reinstalling Excel or
the Addin doesn't solve the issue either. I'm looking for suggestions what
other system settings could cause this issue. More detail on the error
Once in debug mode (after the the error occured) the user can hit the run
button and the highlighted
line will be executed but the code maybe interrupted at another line (not
necessarely the next one, but maybe several lines later), like the system
only has enough resources to execute code in chunks. Anybody have any
idea what might cause a problem like this ? This seems to be link to the
configuration of this specific set of machines but I can't figure out what is
causing the interference. Any help, especially from the MVP's on this forum
would be appreciated.
Felix
