Default Conditional Formatting and VBA

Is it possible to use VBA to return the font colour before and after a
condition is made?
ie. if the font colorindex changes from black to red? initial trials
suggest no?
any help appreciated.

If you were controlling the change, then the answer is yes, but if you are
lookingt to trap such an event, then no.
