It helped tremendously !
It took my xls from 17,869 to 8,966 !!
I couldn't use the code method as I have some merged cells.

Also closed and re-opened.

I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and it seems to be
on the older versions :) - you need to close and reopen the file to see
the used range to be resetted.
