plz tell me if thr is any command in dos th u can add an entry in cell
of excel file .

Why would you want to insert a cell in DOS?

In a couple of words, you can't. It's not possible to manipulate an
excel file from DOS.

What's wrong with using Excel itself?

You can write a piece of VBScript (or JScript) that will do it.
Please give more details on your needs

thnx for reply..
actually now a days i m working on project(SIP) " application
development on casio pvs 1600" in tht thr is readymade pocket
sheet(compatible with ms-excel) application in casio unit. when u
synchronized the file of pocket sheet with ur pc, it will be match with
excel n open in excel. but it open in scattred way(not like as u want)
so i want to improve that. and if thr is any command in dos or shell
then i'll take help of it and i add it into my code(C).
honestly, this is my first project and I DON'T KNOW WHT SHOULD I
DO?

hi, first thanx for ur reply.
actually i m working on my S.I.P project.(MCA 1st yr). it's abt
"application development for casio pv s1600 unit". in casio unit thr is
already a pocketsheet(compatible with ms-excel) in whc u can stored ur
questionnaries, etc..

when u syncronized(tht pocketsheet file) tht file with ur pc, it'll
open in ms-excel but in scattred way(not like as u want). so i want to
improve it....

so i don't hv any idea abt how the file(in pocketsheet) convert into
..xls format. tht's y i need any command in dos or in shell, which i add
in my code(C).

I DON'T KNOW HOW SHOULD I DO IT? I DON'T HV ANY EXPERIENCE TO WORKING
ON PROJECTS..... PLZ HELP MEEEEEEE
