Formatting street address's for comparison
I have two seperate files of data, the first is a listing of employee
addresses and the second is a listing of vendor addresses. Both files are in excel, and I plan on using a different software, IDEA to do a comparrison to see if any employee address is also an address in our payables system. The problem: is the addresses are not always entered the same way, (that is one may be 123 1st street, and in the file i want to compare it to, it may have been keyed as 123 1st st.) I think I can do a macro with find/replace for the endless number of possibilities that may occur. I was wondering if someone out there has already written a MACRO for this, or if anyone knows an easy way to accoumplish this task. |
