Default detect and repair vs regserver

How does detect and repair differ from excel.exe /regserver?

Default detect and repair vs regserver

I bet detect and repair actually replaces damaged/missing files.

Regserver only touches the registry.

(I don't know if detect and repair touches the registry, though.)
