Default How do I format a specific column of cells to have a limit aount of characters?

Thanks for responding Barb.

Column A (6 characters max, place space as a filler if you don't reach
6)
abc(space1)(space2)(space3)

My goal is to format this worksheet so that when I save as a txt file,
each row in the worksheet will be "one string" of data formated a
specific way based on the format of the columns of each cell.

I hope this makes sense :)

Thanks!
