Everytime I insert a comment at a cell, the user name will always be there

I suppose you could remove the user name completely from Excel.

if you do, microsoft will insert the default user name for the machine so
this does not work unfortunately. Amazes me that the company perpetuates something which many would find inconvenient and requires macros enabled to get around it... "PCLIVE" wrote in message ...
