Is there a way to have a watermark in a cell? The watermark would be light
gray font, and the normal cell text would appear over the watermark. Thanks, Phil |

At least in Excel 2000 there is no way I know to put an image into the fill
of an individual cell. You can have a watermark for the entire sheet by using the Format... Sheet... option on the menu, but it would be hard to make that come out to have a particular mark behind a particular cell. Probably the best way to do this would be to put a textbox (from the Drawing toolbar) over the cell area: a textbox can have a background picture, i.e. watermark.
