Protect my macros
I'm creating workbooks for a group of basic XL users. I don't want them
to mess my the macros should they get into the VBA editor. I've tried to protect them by selecting the module, going into Properties and turning on the password protection on the security tab. This, as near as I can tell, does nothing. I then tried protecting the worksheet, thinking that maybe the macro protection only worked if the sheet itself was protected. No effect. Is there a way to protect my macros? I'm not trying to protect them from serious hackers, just accidental or curious end users. |

Be sure to save your project, close it, then reopen it after setting security
in the properties tab. "davegb" wrote: I'm creating workbooks for a group of basic XL users. I don't want them to mess my the macros should they get into the VBA editor. Protect my macros
Should have thought to try that, Bob. I did close the VBA editor, but
not the whole file. Thanks |

Protect my macros
I've written some VBA code that I don't want the user to even see. Is
there some way to hide a module, like you can hide a worksheet? Also, I'm afraid I'm lame enough that I can't find how you did this: "I've tried to protect them by selecting the module, going into Properties and turning on the password protection on the security tab." When the module is selected, how do I find "Properties"? |

Protect my macros
Okay, I found an answer to both parts of my question, so I'm feeling
slightly less lame. There was another thread on this topic: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...3423ba61fe03e8 I'm new to this forum, but it's a fantastic resource. Thanks |
