I've written some VBA code that I don't want the user to even see. Is
there some way to hide a module, like you can hide a worksheet?

Also, I'm afraid I'm lame enough that I can't find how you did this:
"I've tried to protect them by selecting the module, going into
Properties and turning on the password protection on the security tab."
When the module is selected, how do I find "Properties"?
