Default Running an excel spreadsheet from a website

Hello Everyone,

Is it possible to run an excel macro from a spreadsheet that resides on a
company intranet site. I have client that wants set this up so that the
macro runs and saves the resulting file to the user's desktop. I don't think
this is possible because of the browser security issues, but they swear it
is possible to do.

I was wondering if any one has done anything like this and if they could
give me help on it. Thanks.
