Default Personal Macro Workbook

When I try to create a macro via the macro dialog box (Alt
F8) the personal macro workbook in not an option in the
drop down box.

Why is this?

Default Personal Macro Workbook

Hey,

By pressing Alt+F8 you can't record a macro. You can only run existing
macros. So if a macro is not already recroded in Personal.xls, it will
not appear in the dropdwon list.

What you need to do is Click on 'Tools' menu, point to 'Marcros' and
Select 'Record New Macro'. Then in dropdown list you will find 'Personal
Macro Workbook'.
Select it and record your macro.
