Default Excel Add In - Limited Use?

Hi Keepitcool,
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thnak you very much.

However, I could not understand the suggestions posted by Jerry.
Jerry, May I request you to what it means
***********
Instead of a popup, which would require code, put your message on the
page that the workbook opens to (possibly with all other pages hidden)
then use the the code to restore the working environment, as well as
actually doing the work.
***********

I am not making any changes to working environment. Hance I think ther
is no need to restore the same. (Am I wrong? Am I changing somethin
unknowingly?) It may be possible with biginners like me. Just let m
know.

Also since I do not want to delete anything on users pc, link that Bo
Phillips suggested will not help atleast in this project although
bookmarked it for future referance.

Regards,
Siri

Default Excel Add In - Limited Use?

When you want continued feedback on a thread, it would help if you would
keep your replies in the original thread instead of starting a new
thread (a new message with the original subject is not equivalent to
replying within the original thread).

Your original question was not entirely clear. I interpreted your "it
will screw up the data" as your intended goal; others may have taken it
as an unavoidable consequence of continuing to use the Add-In beyond the
intended time frame. In that context of limited understanding, I also
considered the possibility that you were actually providing an
integrated workbook with self-contained code, instead of a separate
Add-In that would be called from the user's workbook. My suggestion
that now has you confused was in that apparently erroneous context, and
so does not apply.

For future reference, if you write a workbook with integrated code,
messages such as your popup will only be seen if the user allows code to
run. If you do not want them to be able to use the workbook at all
(cell formulas would still work) unless they use the code, then the
usual approach is to open to a static splash screen that explains why
they cannot use the workbook as-is. If they permit code to run, then
the first thing the code does is to hide the splash screen and do any
other set-up required by the workbook.
