We are using Excel 2000 and we want to insert a picture
into a cell. Easy so far. In the past we would then add
arrows and text boxes from the Drawing Toolbar in order to
make an informative graphic. We are now headed in the
direction of storing a pointer to the graphic in a
database and inserting the named graphic picture in the
cell.

The question is: What would be a good, simple program
which can edit (crop, flip, rotate, . . . ) a picture,
place simple (preferrably Drawing Toolbar) pointers and
text, and save the result in a picture format for storage?

We have tried Visio, but it cannot rotate or flip a
picture. Other simple picture editors do not have easy to
use pointers and text boxes.

Any suggestions?
