Default Like Character?

"Bernie Deitrick" <deitbe @ consumer dot org wrote in Also, I'm getting
the feeling that the LIKE operator doesn't like #'s but
only likes *'s and ?'s.

Actually, it does like #'s, just not my bone-headed use of them. If you
have

This BBB-CCC-DDDD 555-123-4578 ext 146

then

=myFind(A1, " ???-???-????","")

returns "BBB-CCC-DDDD" while

=myFind(A1, " ###-###-####","")

returns

555-123-4578
