Default This drives me nuts

Am I the only person that gets this problem? Sometimes I will enter a
formula in a cell and after I hit return it won't give the result of
the formula but will only display the formula. I will go to the cell
right next to it and do the exact same thing and it will then work
normally.

This drives me nuts.

Hi
your cell is probably formated as 'Text'. Goto 'format - Cells' and
change the format to 'general'. After this reenter the formula

To edit and re-enter a formula, just hit the <F2 key (the status bar will
show "Edit"), then press Enter. It saves having to re-enter a long, complex
formula.

Either the cell where you enter the formula is formatted as Text or the
formula refers to a cell that is formatted as text. Change the format and
the problem should go away.

Yes, I believe you are the only person who does not know this. (just
joking).

Format as General and re-enter your data.
