This drives me nuts
Am I the only person that gets this problem? Sometimes I will enter a
formula in a cell and after I hit return it won't give the result of the formula but will only display the formula. I will go to the cell right next to it and do the exact same thing and it will then work normally. This drives me nuts. |

Hi
your cell is probably formated as 'Text'. Goto 'format - Cells' and change the format to 'general'. After this reenter the formula -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany Pete K wrote: Am I the only person that gets this problem? Either the cell where you enter the formula is formatted as Text or the
formula refers to a cell that is formatted as text. Change the format and the problem should go away. Yes, I believe you are the only person who does not know this. To edit and re-enter a formula, just hit the <F2 key (the status bar will
show "Edit"), then press Enter. It saves having to re-enter a long, complex formula. -- Regards, Bill "Frank Kabel" wrote in message ... Hi your cell is probably formated as 'Text'.
