In EXCEL, there is a small window that pops up that shows
the cell references and the copy of the clipboard.

How can I activate that window???

Please do NOT post to more than one newsgroup.
If you want a programming answer as well then start recording
a macro before you do the following:
View (menu), Toolbars, clipboard

Then as someone asked in one of your other postings
what version of Excel do you have. I have Excel 2000.
also what version of Excel did you see it in.

View (menu), Toolbars (menu), clipboard

how about
View (menu), Toolbars(menu), Customize,
toolbars (tab), (check) Toolbars
