Is it possible to view 2 sheets simoultaneously, either by
using a split or freeze pane facility?

Cheers

Gordon.

Window / New Window - then Window / Arrange If you save like this though it
will always open two windows up, until you remove one and save again.

Hi Gordon,
Not in the manner you suggest.

Normally you would have the worksheet in full screen within the Excel
Window. Change Full Screen to Normal for the spreadsheet (not Excel)
Then use Window (menu), New
then change the sheetname
you should have both sheets in view

As soon as you did the "New" above you will note that the window shows
workbookname.xls:1 and workbookname.xls:2
at that point you could exit either one and the name of the other would
revert back to the normal view workbookname.xls

Rather than moving boundaries around yourself you might want to also use
Window (menu), Arrange, Vertical (side by side)
The normal arrangement is Tiled

There are ways to look at two sheets in the same work book in the same screen.

1) Open your workbook.
2) From the Window menu, choose "New Window". (A second window for the same workbook will be created.) For example, your file is called "Book1". Then, you'll have "Book1:1" and "Book1:2".
3) From the Window menu, choose "Arrange"
4) Choose "Horizontal", click OK.

Now, you have 2 "instances" of the same workbook displaced.

You have to do another window of the same workbook (WindowNew
Window), and then do a WindowArrange, check the check box for
"Windows of active workbook" and choose one of the display options
(Tiled, Horizontal, Vertical, Cascade). From either window, you can
go to different sheets so you have the ability to see two different
locations on the same screen.

When you are done, go to the window you want to close and then press
Ctrl+W to close it.
