Assuming your text data is in cell A1
=LEFT(A1,2)*60+MID(A1,4,2)&","&RIGHT(A1,2) -- Michael Hopwood "Steinar Vissebråten" wrote in message ... Hi. Hi, This is not working! I entered this into the cell I want to get output as seconds and two decimals. It is a mistake in the line? =left(a1,2)*60+mid(a1,4,2)&","&right(a1,2) I do explain more.: The time is in minutes, seconds, 2 decimals it can also be just seconds as; 40,00 In another cell I want this two to be as an output of seconds, 2 decimals The input cell could be any value - time entered coukd be: 12,12,12 40,00 and the output cell should say: 732,12 40,00 The line above does not work for me - sorry. Try:
=if(len(A1)=5,A1,left(a1,2)*60+mid(a1,4,2)&","&rig ht(a1,2)) -- Michael Hopwood "Steinar Vissebråten" wrote in message ... Hi, This is not working!
