Links in Excel Files
I have two files. A master file with a drop down list. A data fil that feeds into the master file with the Vlookup function. If th master list is emailed (without the data file) it is still possible fo the recipient to select an item from the drop down list and have th answer fed from the data file. The recipient should have no access t the data file. How is this happening?? ----------------------------------------------- ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com ~~View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

If the user gets a prompt asking to update links and answers no, then the
existing values will be used. MatthewT wrote: I have two files. A master file with a drop down list. A data file that feeds into the master file with the Vlookup function.
