Default Cells disappear when I start to enter a formula

When I start to enter a formula into a cell and I type =, the values
in the preceding 3 columns on the same row disappear.

Anybody have any idea on what might be going on?

Mike,

Are the other cells actually losing their values or just seem to go blank
while you are entering the formula?

Sometimes when entering a formula, adjacent cells appear to go blank.

Try turning of the "edit directly in cell" option in Options. This
gives you the great feature of letting a double click on a cell take
you to the predecessor, something I find so handy I never use edit in
cell anymore.
