Default Writing "shapes" to disk file

Can anyone tell me how I can use vba to write a shape in
a spreadsheet to a disk file as a bitmap or a jpeg.

I have 1000+ spreadsheets to scan for embedded pictures.

Powerpoint gives you an option to do it if you write
click the image. I can also write an image from an
Access form to disk, but I can't work out how to get
the "shape" in Excel to an image on an access form.

Thanks
