Default Stock Program

Hi,
I'm looking for a formula that will allow me to figure
the difference between the stock purchase dates I have
entered in a weekly numbered work sheet. If the entered
dates are within the weekly dates which are entered
across row 1 (D1 through J1) I need to perform the
calculation. If the dates are outside of the weekly
dates I need to enter zero in a cell thereby not
performing the calculation.
I am presently doing this manually and am having trouble
finding sample source code. If you have a such a web
site please inform me.
I wish to thank you in advance for any help.
