Hi all,

My users require that the worksheet I'm working be
protected so the formulas and numbers will not be
accidently changed. However, they also require the ability
to sort and filter data as they wish. Once the worksheet
is protected, the Data | Sort menu is grayed out and
becomes unavailable.

Is anyone aware of any workaround? TIA.

Don't know if this will work for you or not... but I had a
similar situation and ended up making the original a
template. That way when they open it, they just get a copy
that they can do anything with and the original does not
get changed.

Of course, any changes they make will not update the
original.

Not sure if that helps or not...
