![]() I have a batch process and each batch has different cycles. Some of these cycles have different times in which a reaction occurs. What I want to do is just have a cell add all these times together for a total hours but how do I get excel to do this using the hh:mm format cause its having trouble adding the hours if the total number of hours goes past 24 hours. tks, Ed 8:00 0:00 4:00 6:00 0:00 2:00 12:00 0:00 add these together with a total at the end -- changetires ------------------------------------------------------------------------ changetires's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35414 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=557010 |

Try formatting all those cells as: [h]:mm
I'm betting that you'll see that the data isn't what you think it is. changetires wrote: That returned a result of 80:00 when it should have been 32:00 tks, Ed -- changetires ------------------------------------------------------------------------ changetires's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35414 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=557010 -- Dave Peterson |
