I do realise that, but I know I've never made an alteration to Auto Correct that would give the result I desrcibed. I do a lot of e-mailing to and from from work, maybe someone else did it and it migrated to my home set up? Regards, Alan. "CLR" wrote in message ... PS, God knows how it got there! This must be a Named Constant or Named Range on your computer. That would
explain the value association. The name MD could be assoicated with a cell with a large value in it. -- Gary''s Student "Alan" wrote: Hi All, I want to enter into an empty cell 'MD', Just that, no quotes, it stands for 'Managing Director' The result I get is 1.23457E+17 If I format as text or precede 'MD' with an apossrophe I get 12345669885562 Any ideas any one, TIA, Alan. |

If it is I don't know how it got there. I've used loads of named ranges in
XL sheets in the past but they all have refered to actual ranges like A45:GH250, Strange, but solved! Regards, Alan. "Gary''s Student" wrote in message ...
