Excel Question

Default Copy text, not gridlines

I had to reinstall everything after a major crash. Now when I copy a row from
Excel to paste into Word it pastes the data and gridlines. The gridlines are
turned off and borders are off also. When I paste I get a short notice saying
"placing RTF document" which I never used to get before the reinstall.
