Thanks Dave - I have Adobe Pro 7.0 and Adobe Reader 7.0.7. I just upgrade to
Office 2003 from 2000. When created the link in Excel 2000 and I only had
Adobe Reader 7.0.7 the link worked. However now - with all the new stuff -
when I click the link an Adobe Pro window opens briefly as if it's going to
work then it just goes away. I'm uninstalling and trying to back into what
the problem could be. So far no luck!

I don't use adobe pro, but it sounds like it suffers from the same problem as
the earlier version of the reader did.

Is there an update for adobe pro?

Maybe a quick wander through their FAQ would help????

(I don't have a guess (as you can tell).)

Someone else just replied that getting the newest version from Adobe fixed their
problem. Maybe it's worth a second attempt???

That was it! I thought I had the latest version but evidently not. I just
put on 7.0.8 and it fixed the problem.

Remember: As soon as you download and install any piece of software, it's been
superseded!
