Macros Pegging Processor !

We are having an issue with a computer. When user tries to open large files
with macros it pegs her processor at 100% until the cows come home. We have
tried repairing and reinstalling excel but no luck.

Win2000pro
1.7 celeron
256mb ram
384mb vram
Plenty of free disk space
(Other than this)any thoughts
