Transferring toolbars and macros to other computers
My question from yesterday, replied to by a gentleman named Gord, is not here
any more. At least I can't find it, so I'll ask again. Thanks Gord. My problem seems to be with where toolbar buttons are looking for the macros. When switching from 2000 to 2003, my toolbar buttons previously found my macros in "personal.xls" for global access, and now can't find the macros. It's looking in the old path for the code, which doesn't exist. I know you can import macros from any workbook into any other workbook but I want them always available to this toolbar without having to load them. Personal.xls did that in 2000 but what about 2003?? Thanks. "Gord Dibben" wrote: Darrell Macros can be in any workbook. They would travel with the workbook. Also in Personal.xls for global macros. It sounds like you assigned the macros to the icons on the toolbar manually.
If that's true, just do it again on the new pc--but point at personal.xls in its new location. Alternatively, you could build the toolbar whenever personal.xls opens. http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?th...5B41%40msn.com That link has a link to John Walkenbach's MenuMaker program. It adds items to the worksheet toolbar. Darrell wrote: My question from yesterday, replied to by a gentleman named Gord, is not here any more. At least I can't find it, so I'll ask again.
