When one particular user tries to open a text file with ; delimited fields it
just opens it rather than opening Import Wizard. All other users can open it and import wizard initiates automatically. What do I have to do to get the one user also to be able to initiate import wizard? Thank you for any help that can be offered |

I wonder if the one user's machine doesn't have this installed. |

Is there a way of checking this?

I'm telling you this from memory, so it might be slightly inaccurate, but just a little: Pop in the Office install disk. I use Office 2000, and when I do that, the initial install screen pops up and gives me the option of installing options. When you see the list of programs (Word, Excel, etc), click Excel's plus sign and look for the heading which contains import wizards. If I recall, they were called "filters". There's probably a way to check all this without the install disk, but I'm not aware of it. |
