Default Linking Problems - HELP!

When I try to open a handful of excel sheets and try updating queries, i get
an "ODBC Excel Driver Login Failed" error saying that the path the query is
trying to pull from is not a valid path.

Indeed, the path that appears on this error is not the correct path at all -
and even though the same files work on a coworker's computer, they will not
work on mine because excel seems to think they should be looking in an
incorrect folder. All of the links are correct, but the path in the queriers
is not. I can correct this query-by-query and form-by-form, but i know this
has got to be symptomatic of a larger problem.

Any ideas? thanks.
