It tells me it already exists, but if I replace it with a modified version it doesn't save the modified form. Also, when I do file, open it doesn't appear on the list of files. I can find it when I first open Excel on the right side under New Workbooks, but it's always the original version without modifications I made. The original file came from my future daughter-in-law and is titled guest-list-weddingchannel.csv. I can make modifications but cannot save them. Dave McCuen Dave Peterson |

Make sure you traverse to the correct folder (where you want to store the .xls
file) when you do the File|SaveAs command. Then next time, you can use File|open to open it. In some versions of excel, you have to open the file via file|open for it to show up at the bottom of the File menu. Dave,
Thanks, that was the problem. I was saving it to a CSV file and then couldn't find it when I went back to it. After several attempts I was able to save it to the .XLS file. Thanks, Dave McCuen "Dave Peterson" wrote: Make sure you traverse to the correct folder (where you want to store the .xls file) when you do the File|SaveAs command.
