I am trying to create a profitability workbook where sheets 1-2 I want to
have my secretary fill out most of the basic data, but I don't want her to
see the profit (on worksheet 3) I make on the total project. Is there someway
to restrict viewing with a password on a specific sheet within a workbook?

I believe passwords are all or nothing. Actually that's not entirely true,
you can set one password to be able to open/view a workbook and another to be
able to edit.

One option is that you could have the totals exist in another workbook that
is password protected. It's possible to reference cells from other
workbooks, so you could have it set up so only you see that workbook with the
totals that get automatically updated as your secretary fills out the
information in the other workbook.

You could hide that worksheet and protect the workbook.
Format|sheet|hide
and
tools|protection|protect workbook (protect the structure)

But excel's protection won't stop her if she really wants to see that worksheet.

Yeah, i'm trying to avoid having 2 sheets for the same project, just to avoid
clutter and confusion
