Calculation speed issue
Excel 2002 SP3
I have several workbooks that have multiple worksheets inside. I recently copied and pasted several of the sheets from one book to another. All links and reference in the worksheets of the new book are self contained as they were in the oricinal copy. The problem however is that the calculation speed in the original is approx 1 second. The calculation speed in the new worksheet is approximately 45 sec. Q. Is there a way to find out what is being calculated? The lower left hand corner shows the percent of calculation coomplete but does not indicate what is being calculated. |

Calculation speed issue
Gary:
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I checked links and none are in place. It appears that the calculation time is the same (~30 times the old speed regardless of what cell value I change. I understood that excel only calculates cells that are effected by a change. Manually calculating the same sheet multiple times without making any change still takes the same long time. The length of calculation time seems to indicate that Excel is referencing the old, closed workbook.
