Default How do I convert numbered columns to lettered columns?

Tools|options|General Tab|Uncheck R1C1 Reference Style.

My Excel program has somehow reverted to referencing the columns with numbers
instead of letters. So instead of C1 it reads R1C3 or E5 is R5C5. How do I
get it back to using letters to label the columns?
