HOW SHOULD I IMPORT & PASTE ONLY THE REQUIRED DATA

i have a problem in pasting the data. i have created a list of 20 items of my
own. every day i will get data of 2000 items. from that data i wanted to have
automatically this 20 items data. is there any procedure when i copy that
2000 items data and paste in my own 20 items data -- i wanted to get only
those 20 items rest 1980 items should automatically be deleted. can any body
help me on this
