Default Excel Won't Open

I recently installed 2000 on my laptop that fomerly ran 98. Now Excel won't
run, and it keeps asking to run setup, which I can't locate. I've attempted
compatibility wizards but I think I'm missing a step.

Any help would be appreciated.

When you turn on the laptop, do you getoptions to choose operating system
1. Windows 98
2. Windows 2000

If so then your excel is still safe.
If not then when you loaded 2000 the Windows directory is basically
overwritten.
You will have to reload Office or Excel.
