Something seriously wrong here in Excel 365 (alias Excel 2016) with my
Edit Hyperlink dialog! Googled widely and tried many things, and also posted to two Excel forums but so far no solution. The hyperlink shown in my illustration works fine. (When clicked it opens that JPG in its associated program, IrfanView.) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8zwru3j4zh...lem-2.jpg?dl=0 But if I click just about anything else (such as the examples highlighted) Excel crashes and restarts with: 'Microsoft Excel has stopped working'. Note that I originally entered the Address in full path form. On opening the Edit Hyperlink window subsequently that always becomes just the filename, with the path apparently applied from the 'Look in' box. Although it's a secondary concern compared to the crashing, I'd prefer it to stay as a full path. But using File Info Show All Properties I still haven't found any text string that will achieve that. In short, very confused. Terry, East Grinstead, UK |
