Default Excel spreadsheet -- column widths and row heights change accordingto the printer selected

In a large organisation an excel spreadsheet is used by a variety of staff to enter end of day sales figures.

The spreadsheet will be viewed on different computers, which may be connected to any number of different printers.

In some circumstances the column widths and row heights will change according to the printer selected.

Some staff when seeing these changes on their screen may panic.

Is there a way to ensure that the image on the screen is consistently readable in many diverse situations?

(VBA solutions welcome.)
