It happens that Smith9606 formulated :
How do you turn auto sum off?


You can set Calculation to 'Manual' in OptionsCalculation (pre 2007),
or OptionsFormulasCalculation Options (XL2007)

Do you mean "auto calculation" rather than "auto sum"?
