Default Formula using Date Formatting

Hi there,

I have 3 cells - 1 with a start date, 1 with an end date and a 3rd for the
difference between those 2 dates.
How do I get Excel to come up with the correct figure which is the
difference between say, 6 July 05 and 7 Aug 05?

Gina.
