Default Cannot Group that selection Problem

Hi All:
I am trying to group dates in my pivot table without success. I am
using a dynamic name range and there are no blanks fields on the pivot
table or the dynamic data range. In the source data and the pivot table
, I have formatted the date field to show the full day eg
Saturday,January 1, 2005 instead of 1/1/2005.
What can be the possible problem. I am using excel 2003

Perhaps a blank row is included at the end of the pivot table source
range. Or, one of the dates is not being recognized as a real date.

The pivot table source is a dynamic range.I checked the format of all
the dates and they are recognised as date format in the pivot table
source and pivot table.

Have you verified that the dynamic range includes only the cells you
expected?
How did you check the format of the dates?

I used the info from your website to construct the dynamic range. The
range includes all cells I expected. Originally It did not due to data
in row 2000. I checked the formats of the data by Format=Cell= Date.
The dynamic range only has 10 rows of data at present

If you'd like to send me the workbook, I can take a look at it. Remove
the capital letters from my posted email address, to get the real address.
