Are you sure you have both workbooks open in the same instance of excel? Check under Window. Do you see both workbook names at the bottom of that dropdown? If the workbooks are open in different instances, then the updating of links won't be automatic. Lawrenph wrote: We have very large workbooks which have links to each other.
