Default Can't Save personal.xls When Hidden

There are a couple of things you could look at. Not sure what version of
Excel you're using but check the Macro Security settings. Also look at the
Add-ins settings for any problems with Trusted publishers. My guess is that
the security patches overwrote the prior Excel settings and you just need to
look for what changed. good luck and please post result.

We suddenly find that we are unable to close the Excel application until each
individual workbook is closed. Unfortunately this includes the hidden
Personal.xls. That means we have to un-hide personal.xls, then close it, in
order to exit from Excel.

It's possible this is related to something with our integrated apps, but the
only changes we made this week were the installation of a number of security
patches. Wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem and/or
may have found a solution for this.
