number changing
while im try to type numbers numbers like 12/6 in some cells, its
automatically converting to data format like 6-Dec, how can i avoid this? -- anipriya |

Hi,
Type an apostrophe ' before you enter the data. I won't show in the cell -- Mike When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the question. You can also change the formatting of the cells before (or after) you enter

Your suggestion doesn't help because the OP doesn't want a date. He wants
