Default excel advanced question

i have made a dropdown box with diff selections in it. wat i'd like to do is
when one of them is selected i'd like the boxes below that to change name
accordingly. is this possible? if my question is not detailed enough i can
further explain

If I understand you correctly; you are looking for dependent dropdow list.

thats not exatly wat i was need to do but it was useful non the less. wat i
was talking about was after making a selection in a dropdown, have a form
that lists details about the item previously selected

Maybe a VLOOKUP formula would do the trick?

You will need a two column table with dropdown items and descriptions of
those items.

Then a VLOOKUP formula to return the description for item picked in
dropdown.
